Toastmasters is about creating positive learning environments to help your personal development. ALE Ladder Bilingual The purpose of the bilingual club format is to help basic and intermediate level ALE members gain confidence and improve their public speaking skills using a combination of English and Chinese. If you want, you can gain leadership experience by participating in the running of the club. Please come visit ALE Ladder Bilingual Toastmasters regular meetings every 1st and 3rd Wednesday night and experience how your fellow our members challenge themselves and benefit by participating in Toastmasters! 你是否發現，在我們的生活週遭中擁有良好溝通能力的人總是比一般人多了更多的機會?你是否常在很多人面前講話時，卻因為緊張或組織能力不佳而無法正確且完整的傳達心中真正的訊息?舉凡從最平常的親友聚會、學校報告、工作應徵面試、公司內部會議.…等等，在生 活中，每個人或多或少都免不了要對著群眾或陌生人表達自己的意見，而這機會對自己的未來通常都佔有極大的影響力，偏偏溝通能力的養成，卻又不是一蹴可幾，於是我們一次又一坎的與機會擦身而過。
Toastmasters International (國際演講協會)於1924年成立於美國，目的是建立一個正面且積極的學習環境，會員藉著公開演講的學習模式，從中增進溝通技巧以及領導能力。ALE Ladder Bilingual Toastmasters Club成立目的在於讓 英文程度較弱的朋友們也能參與這樣一個正面積極的學習環境，會員在會議中盡自己的能力用英文表達所要傳遞的訊息，而在無法以英文做適當表達時，可以用中文進行輔助;並透過充份的準備，學習上台發表簡短演說及主持會議。在這樣的學習模式中，會員們漸漸能夠更有自信地面對人群公開談話、認識新朋友、交換學習心得、並妥善組織自己所要傳遞的訊息，對於初、中級的會員而言，這絕對是一個學習英文並同時加強溝通能力的好機會。
