From a humble beginning in 1924
at the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, Toastmasters International has grown
to become a world leader in helping people become more competent and
comfortable in front of an audience. This nonprofit organization has nearly
220,000 members in 11,300 clubs in 90 countries, offering a proven and
enjoyable way to practice and perfect communication and leadership skills.

In Taiwan, Taipei Toastmasters
Club was chartered in 1958. Since then, more than 110 clubs have been
chartered in Taiwan, hosting meetings in English, Mandarin, Japanese,
Taiwanese, and Hakka.
Prestige Toastmasters Club,
chartered in 1985, is considered one of the highest level clubs in Taiwan.
The Toastmasters environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced
program allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment.
Constructive evaluation is the heart of the Toastmasters program. Each time you
give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest
improvements.
