Dear leaders in Toastmasters,
¦U¦ìºtÁ¿·|ªº»â¾ÉªÌ¡A

Spring is here! Hope you have an enjoyable holiday.

As we are ready to start the contests toward 2014 Spring Conference, I would like to remind you a change in our contests. According to 2014 Speech
Contest Rulebook of Toastmasters International, a note under the 'Preparation' of 'Contest Chair's Checklist' in 'Speech Contest Checklists'
has been added to Item No.1. It reads as follows:
·í±z¬°¤µ¦~¬K©u¤j·|ºtÁ¿¤ñÁÉ°µ·Ç³ÆÁɮɡA§Ú·Q´£¿ô±z¤@ÂI©M¤ñÁɦ³Ãöªº§ïÅÜ¡C¤µ¦~¥@¬ÉÁ`·|¦b¤ñÁɳW«h¤â¥UùØ¥D«ù¤Hªº·Ç³ÆnÂI²Ä¤@ÂI¤¤¥[µù¤F¦p¤Uµù¸Ñ:

Note: If there is an entry fee for the contest, that fee must be waived for contestants. Contestants cannot be charged a fee to compete.

We know that there is no problem to the contests at club level because there is no entry fee involved. For speech contests at area and division level
respectively, if you plan to collect a fee from each participants for a contest, you must waive the fee from contestants according to the contest
note. For speech contests in our 2014 Spring Conference, the contestants will have to register first; a fee for the specific contest the contestant
participated will be refunded at the briefing when identified.
