Taiwan pride 台灣之光 Tina Chang our Contestant


Dear fellow Leaders,

We are so proud of having our 1st interdistrict speech contestant "Tina Chang" from Area C2, China Club won the best admirations in the Reno convention among the full house audience.

There were 10 contestants in this year from outside of America and Canada districts, i.e.
 

1. D67- Taiwan
2. D75- Philippines
3. D51- Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei,Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau
4. D72- New Zealand
5. D73- Australia,South/Western Au.Tasmania and Victoria.
6. D69- Australia,Queensland, Northern Territory,Northern New South Wales; Papua Guinea.
7. D70- Australia,New South Wales and the Sydney.
8. D59- Central Europe (18 countries)
9. D71- Britain and Ireland
10. D74- Southern Africa( 8 countries)
11. D34- Mexico (absent in this year)
12. D76- Japan (from next year)
13. D80- Singapore, Thailand, H.K., Macau(from next year)
14. D79- Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar,Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates.(from next year)
 
Tina was very lucky to be the first speaker, her sweet smiles and confidently delivery captured all the admirations from the audience's hearts.

Though she didn't won the awards but several past district governors came over to congratulation us and told us that Tina was ranked the top three winners in their lists.

Finally, the D 74 contestant from South Africa, Douglas won the champion and he also won the second winner in the international speech contest on Aug. 21 among the 9 final contestants.

The world champion this year, Randy Harvey from Region I, " Lessons from Fat Dad" really touched all the participants' deepest hearts.

He illiterate how his fat dad loved his mom and how he gave his children the full love and inspirations.

Miserly, his Dad died several weeks ago and the speaker's children now call him "Fat Dad", the precious Legacy lasts.

We are all very proud of being one of the members from the world recognized select distinguished D67, we were ranked No. 10 among all 76 districts in last year.

In Toastmasters International, when thinking globally, we have the very chance to be the

"Taiwan No. 1".

If we all fellow clubs, Areas, Divisions are working for the useful DCP program than we will make it reality soon" Taiwan No. 1".

Let's all give Tina Chang a warmly big hug and encourage all potential distinguished members to go for next year's international speech champion in Toronto, Canada. in Aug. 24-Aug. 27.
