On this lovely typhoon day I am sending you this momentous message from Jorie's email at home. IP International President Jon Greiner DTM phoned me yesterday to congratulate D-67 on achieving Select Distinguihsed District, number 9 among 80 districts in the world. While we have surged from 71.4 points of a few weeks ago to 80.6 points now, other districts had surged past us to push us down from # 8 to current # 9 position. I am personally quite pleased with our achievement. It is an improvement from last years # 10 position. At the same time it leave plenty of room for next years leaders. The details should be in the toastmasters website tomorrow, so I would invite you to look into it for further details. I thank all of you for all the effort and contributions in making this District honor possible. Finally, I would like to invite nominations for outstanding Toastmasters, Area and Div Governors of the year. Please make this nomination through your Division Governor who has a form of achievements from HQ. That would be the basis for the top 3's choice. The deadline for this nomination is July 31st.
