由衷的感謝
　 　
Dear leaders and fellow members,
各位領導先進以及親愛的會友們，

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to serve as your 2008~2009 District governor. It was the most challenging, and yet the most enjoyable year in my life.

As I sit down writing this mail, I think of the times when our District was facing a very difficult situation. I noticed that, according the DDP standards, we were still 700 members below the par, and I was afraid that we might not get the DDP status. The worry almost overwhelmed me. However, you -- the presidents and governors of the District -- stood in time by my side to support me. You did your best to help our District complete the mission impossible -- to recruit more than 700 members in less than two months.

We made it.

I feel so proud having you as my team members and my friends. And now there's no more worry, no more stress in my mind. What's in it is sheer joy and great pride. Without you, we could not have achieved this glorious achievement. My friends, you're really great!

With your commitment and support, District 67 is now listed the top 6 in the world. This is your honor and your achievement. Thank you very much. Toastmasters indeed adds colors to our lives!

在過去一年的總會長生涯裡，我和教育副總會長林義雄、推廣副總會長楊冀光全省走透透，參加北、中、南部各種演講會活動、雖然辛苦，但是大家的溫暖、熱情與友情時時溫暖我的心，讓我渡過生命中最值得懷念的一年。

當我到分會拜訪時，心中常有莫名的感動。感謝大家分享您們最感人的故事，也感謝大家對分會、及總會的付出。

演講會常常讓我有溫馨及快樂的感覺。在這裡我學習成長，學習領導及溝通。雖然忙，但是我變得更快樂，更有自信，也更樂於付出及服務他人。演講會在不知不覺中讓我們改變，變得更正面、更積極及樂觀。多麼的神奇！

感謝各位一年來的努力。尤其在今年4月總會面臨極大的挑戰，急需700位新會員才能達成傑出地區總會的目標。感謝全國會長，總監們在總會最困難的時刻勇敢地與我站在一起，打了一場漂亮的戰。截至目前為止，台灣地區總會在全世界名列第六名。我們完成了幾近不可能的任務。也讓我深深體會到團隊合作的可貴。您們真是我最真誠、最熱心的好朋友。

請給台灣最優質的總會秘書長黃麗蓉及總會財務長莊盛祺最熱烈的掌聲，感謝他們默默地付出。更要感謝教育副總會長林義雄及推廣副總會長楊冀光全心全力，不辭辛苦為全國會員做百分百的服務。林副總會長熱心奉獻的精神，是我學習的榜樣。楊副總會長在最後幾個星期，還繼續為創新會而努力。我為他的拚命三郎的精神感到由衷的敬佩! 今年他和他的推廣團隊的創會成績令人刮目相看，目前創了14 個新分會，明、後天他會有更新的數字公佈。

最後，請給我生命中最重要的男人，也是一位沒有聲音的背後推手最大的掌聲。沒有他的鼓勵及支持，我沒有辦法24小時為全國會友們服務。 大家都知道他是誰吧? 他就是自稱是我的司機兼攝影師的 Edward Chen 陳英明。
