A. 1^st Club Officers’ Trainings 第一次服務團隊教育訓練

July, it’s an extremely busy month for the 1^st Club Officers’ trainings island wide.
七月，是一個在全島做第一次分會幹部訓練會議，極度繁忙的月份。

As leaders, we are here to full support of our members. We have to know what our members’ needs and try to meet their needs. We want our members to have exceptional education experiences. In this way, our members will stay longer because of this mutually supportive and positive environment can bring them self-growth and self-confidence. Our guests will join us because they want to better themselves. With well trained club officers, we will provide better services to our members. Well organized agendas and quality meetings are the keys to get our clubs distinguished!
我們身為領導者，是為了全力支持我們的會員們，我們必須知道會員們的需求並滿足它們，我們希望會員們能擁有難忘的教育經驗。這樣一來，會員們才會在這種相互支持和正面的環境中待得更久，因而帶來自我成長和自信。來訪的客人也會為了讓自己變得更好，而加入我們,。藉著訓練良好的領導幹部們，我們才能提供給會員們更好的服務。而完善的組織規劃以及良好的會議品質是成為傑出分會最重要的因素。

Please remember to conduct “Moments of Truth” in each club and examine each club by using this training material to judge the club’s meeting quality.
請記得各個分會要做「關鍵時刻」教育訓練，這個訓練教材是用來檢驗每個分會的品質。

Area Governors have to visit their clubs to take good care of them. Help them, encourage them and solve problems for clubs.
區總監務必拜訪並照顧好每個分會，幫助、鼓勵和解決分會裡的問題。

For the training contents, besides the trio’s trainings, DCP plan discussion, club officers’ responsibilities have to be discussed, I insisted to have two materials to be compulsorily included:
關於第一次分會幹部訓練會議的內容，除了總會長和兩位副總會長所給予的訓練之外，傑出分會計畫和分會幹部職責都已充分被討論，我堅持下面兩樣資料一定要加入：

　

Be aware and analyzing our District Distinguished Performance of last term
了解並分析我們上一任的傑出分會成果報告。

I requested all divisions to add DCP report of 2012-13 for each club in their training handbook. Only when the clubs know how they performed in the last term, they would know which area(s) they can improve and be better in this term. Otherwise, we are like fighting a war with blind eyes.
我要求所有分部將上一任該部每個分會的傑出分會報告被討論並且放在訓練手冊裡。只有經由對上一任成績的分析，才會知道這一任可以再改善、進步的地方，否則我們會像瞎子打仗一般。

More than this, last term’s data had been carefully analyzed by trio. We would assign coaches to help with weak clubs ( members are under 13). We crystal clear know that in this term we have to focus on our membership growth. Last year, our educational goal achieved President Distinguished status, by ranking 22 in 88 districts. Good job. Yet, still can be better. We also met our club setting goals. Now we have 145 paid clubs. We were lacking 295 members. It’s the area we have to work on harder.
另外，總會三人對上一任的各分會傑出分會報告已做了分析和研究。我們會派救援教練們到弱會（會員人數在十三人之下的分會）進行救援和輔導工作。我們非常清楚的知道，這一任需要在會員成長上做最大的努力。去年台灣總會的教育方面得到總會長傑出獎項,在全球排名第二十二名，表現不錯，但是我們應該可以更好。在分會的成長方面，我們也達到目標，現在台灣地區共有145個分會。但是會員方面未達到目標，少了295位會員，這是我們這一任最需要努力的地方。

I requested to have computer experts to train our club officers: “How to use TI’s webpage”. They have to learn how to conduct “club businesses” on line. In the past years, we had too many clubs were facing technical problems which made them felt so frustrated. By training our club officers well can prevent the unnecessary technical problems. 我要求每個分部有一位電腦專家去訓練分會幹部們懂得使用「美國總會網站」，分會幹部們必須學會如何在網站上進行分會業務。在過去幾年，有太多會因為技術問題而感到相當挫折，將幹部們訓練好，可以有效阻止不必要的技術性問題產生。您也可以在台灣總會網站上找到相關教材。

B. New Clubs: 創立新分會

HOPAX had been chartered on July 26th in Kaoshung. A corporate club with the same core value of Toastmasters International: Integrity, Respect for Individual, Services for Members, Excellence. Thanks to the hard efforts of LGET Eric Liang , LGM Caroline Kiang, PR Advisor Webster Kiang, and Association Secretary Jeffrey Huang. They led a great team to set up this club successfully within one month.

HOPAX分會已在七月二十六日於高雄成立。HOPAX是一個跟國際演講會擁有同樣核心價值「誠信、尊重個人、為會員服務、追求卓越」的上櫃公司。感謝教育副總會長梁守誠先生、推廣副總會長張可芸女士、公關顧問江偉平先生和協會秘書長黃瀚誼辛勤的努力，他們帶領優秀的團隊在一個月內成立這個分會。

We have 6-7 new clubs setting going on in hand. We plan to achieve our new clubs setting goal in November, 2013. Then, we will focus our strengths and energy on saving weak clubs and membership growth.
我們目前有六到七個新會正在籌備之中，預計在今年十一月達到設立新分會的目標，之後七個月，將會把精力全數集中在救援弱會和會員的成長目標上。

C. KTC 50^th Anniversary meeting 高雄英語演講會50週年慶

On July 20, Kaoshung TC held a 50-year anniversary celebration. International President Elect George Yen had a keynote speech. Y H Chen is the most senior member in Taiwan. He joined Toastmasters for 50 years. Because of Toastmasters, he looks forever young. Three articles were released by the press right after the ceremony. We witnessed the professionalism KTC members conducted. It is indeed a great and unforgettable memory for all of us. We got a free ticket if we join their 100 anniversary. Good luck to all of us!
七月二十日高雄分會舉辦了一場五十週年慶的盛宴。將榮任國際演講會總會長的顏瑛宗先生發表了一篇主要的演講。陳泳華先生是台灣最資深的會員，他加入國際演講會已長達五十年，因為演講會的緣故，他看起來青春永駐。之後，媒體發表了三篇文章介紹此次慶典。大家都見識到高雄分會會員們的專業精神，對每個人來說，確實是一段美好且難忘的回憶。與會的來賓都得到了參加他們一百週年慶的免費入場承諾，祝我們好運，都可以再活五十年！

D. Preview of the incoming events: 活動預覽

During Aug 12-31, trio and another 8 members will be in the U.S for the District leaders’ training and International Convention. Our past District Governor George Yen will take his office of International President in the convention. Past District Governor Grace Shih is running campaign for Region 13 International Director. Anson Sat will represent D67 to compete in the International Speech contest.
八月十二日到三十一日期間，總會三人和其他八位會員們將至美國參加教育訓練和世界國際會議。前總會長顏瑛宗先生將會在此次國際會議會議中就職國際演講會總會長；前總會長施惠芳女士將在美國競選國際理事；台灣區國際演講冠軍Anson Sat將代表台灣總會參加國際演講比賽。

Sept/ 7th Saturday, we will have a celebration party for International President George Yen in American club, Taipei. Division A Edward and Dawn are working very hard on this one. 在九月七日星期六我們將會在台北為國際演講會總會長的顏瑛宗先生舉辦一場慶祝會議。A部的陳世明部總監和A1區總監林秀幸小姐正非常努力的籌備中。對於台灣總會來說，這是一個讓我們能見度增加,在公開場合展現國際演講會的大好機會。鄭重歡迎各位參與此次的輝煌盛事。只有提供一百二十個座位給會員們。先搶先贏，現在就趕快跟世明部總監報名！
