‘APRIL' this lovely month
is for us Toastmasters ‘to Achieve, Progress, Reap,
Inspire and Learn'. This explains why Spring Convention is
to be held in April. And how you do the timely recharge of your battery
in the spring time will determine how high and far you can reach in
Toastmaster carrier during the year.
The District 67, 2006 Spring
Convention is hosted by Division B coordinated by Division F, and I am
truly honored and privileged of being the Governor of Division B and Chair
of the Spring Convention. I would like to represent all the Division B
and F members to extend to all of you, the nationwide Toastmasters, our
open-armed welcome to this exciting Convention, in Taichung, the city of
culture and liveliness!
‘Falling in Love' - the Fall
Convention in Taipei had been wonderful. Now, the Spring Convention
Committee opted for ‘Fly to Spring' as the theme for this Convention. Keep
the romantic mood and sweet love stories in Taipei as your memories, and
now, join us to ‘fly high' in the fresh, sunny and breezy Spring sky of Taichung.
To make this Spring Convention
unforgettable and one you can not afford to miss out, we selected Hsiang
Yuan Education and Training Center as the venue. You will eye-witness, as
many others already have, the unspoiled, nature and the beauty of the
scenery in the vast areas offer many convenient facilities built within.
Just relax and enjoy the various sporting facilities provided for you free
of charge during the two-day programs. Happy reunion with old friends from
other clubs as well as making new friends, you are sure to bring back with
you lucrative results in knowledge, experience and human relations.
I would like to take this
opportunity to offer my special appreciation toward all the Division B and
F members, whose contribution has been invaluable. Their unselfish hard
work in all aspects from behind the scene, have laid the solid cornerstone
of this stage, that island-wide Toastmasters can now perform and have
fun. We are here jointly to make the 2006 Spring Convention a success!
It is not exaggerated to say, we are all heroes and heroines, as we
jointly worked for the success, as it is not possible for not any single
individual to achieve it alone. And yet, you designated me to accept the
glory in this sparkling spot light of the Convention. I wish I deserve
the credit, and feel ever so grateful within my heart. I can never thank
you enough.
Dear friends, are you ready to
step out of your comfort zone and come to achieve, progress, reap, inspire
and learn? Come, join us! Dream a beautiful spring dream under the
beautiful sky of Taichung and make it come true! Fly high to the spring,
and let me be the wind beneath your wings!
