Thank
you
so
much
for
joining
us
in
the
2012
Spring
Conference!
The
only
purpose
of
holding
district
conferences
is
to
provide
members
opportunities
to
learn
from
Keynote
Speaker
and
trainers
as
well
as
members
around
us
while
having
fun.
It
is
with
your
participation
that
District
Conferences
are
successful.
On
April
21-22,
a
total
of
more
than
400
members
gathered
in
Kaohsiung
to
make
the
2012
Spring
Conference
another
success!
感謝您參加2012春季全國大會！地區總會舉辦全國大會的目的只有一個：提供一個歡樂、愉快的環境，讓會員們從專題演講者、講師、以及周遭會員的表現中學習。只有您的參與才能造就成功的全國大會。四月廿一日、廿二日兩天，超過400位的會員們歡聚在高雄，共同渡過一個成功的2012春季全國大會！

I’d
like
to
take
this
opportunity
to
thank
the
Conference
Committee
and
its
members.
By
joining
you
in
those
intense
but
fruitful
meetings,
I
know
very
well
how
much
effort
you
have
put
into
the
preparation.
I
also
witness
the
transformation
happened
in
each
every
one
of
the
members.
It
is
always
a
joyful
and
touching
feeling
to
see
how
members
learn,
grow,
and
mature
as
they
try
to
accomplish
a
mission
from
the
scratch.
I
understand
the
process
is
stressful,
I am
also
positive
that
the
committee
members
find
it
worthy.
From
the
acknowledgement
and
compliment
given
by
conference
attendees,
all
committee
members
deserve
to
be
proud
of
themselves.
Once
again,
thank
you
very
much
for
the
excellent
job
done!
I
want
to
thank
you
all
for
graciously
tolerating
me
and
coping
with
me
to
work
on
the
details.
Yet,
it
certainly
helped
us
get
recognition
and
acknowledgement
in
many
aspects
from
conference
attendees.
You
certainly
demonstrated
the
core

for

首先，我要感謝大會籌備委員會以及所有工作團隊成員！透過參與無數密集又成果豐碩的籌備會，我非常瞭解各位在籌備過程中所付出的心力，並且見證了籌備團隊每一位成員所發生的蛻變。看到會員們在努力從零開始去完成任務的過程中，是如何透過學習而成長、成熟，真的是令人感動又喜悅的一件事。我知道整個過程充滿壓力，我也確信籌備團隊的每一位成員都會覺得這一切是值得的。春季全國大會參加者所給予的肯定與讚美，讓籌備團隊有十足的理由為自己感到驕傲。再次感謝您們精湛的表現！我更要感謝各位成員對於我注重細節的包容以及合作。但也因為這樣，從大會手冊到晚宴紅地毯入場儀式，都得到大家的肯定。您們真的是國際演講會四大核心價值—「誠信」、「追求卓越」、「服務會員」、「尊重個人」—的最佳表率。

District.
The
process
clearly
demonstrates
that
you
are
a
true
winner.
Thank

much
for
working
so
hard
to
bring
us
such
high
quality
performance.
I
heard
so
many
comments
from
the
audience
that
it
is
getting
harder
and
harder
to
compete
in
the
District
Contests!
我也要恭喜各類比賽的所有參賽者。過去這幾個月，您認真地參加會內賽、分區賽、分部賽，一路晉級到全國大賽，這個過程已經清楚地告訴大家您就是名符其實的贏家。感謝您這麼努力地帶給大家高水準的表現，我聽到好多觀眾都感嘆想要在全國比賽中脫穎而出是越來越難了！
There
are
many
new
trials
in
this
conference.
這次大會我們做了很多新嘗試。
If
you
are
observant,
you
probably
noticed
that
we
didn’t
put
on a
huge
printed
screen
on
the
stage
as
background
decoration.
Instead,
we
took
advantage
of
the
modern
technology
and
projected
the
Conference
Logo,
theme,
and
related
information
on
the
main
screen
on
the
stage.
This
not
only
helped
cutting
down
our
expense,
it’s
also
environmental
friendly.
如果您觀察敏銳，或許您注意到了這次我們並沒有在舞台上架設大型的印刷布幕做為背景與裝飾。相反地，我們利用現代科技把春季大會的標誌、主題與相關資訊投影在舞台上的大型銀幕。這麼做不但有助於減少支出，也很環保。
It
is
the
first
time
in
our
district
to
hold
the
Semi-Final
Contest
for
International
Speech
Contest.
The
reasons
for
making
the
change
are:
1.According
to
the
contest
rules,
we
can
choose
to
do
so.
2.Listening
to
10
speeches
and
judge
is
truly
a
burden
for
judges.
3.The
long
hour
needed
(100
minutes
at
least)
for
the
contest
makes
it
very
difficult
to
arrange
the
conference
agenda.
Thank
you
all
for
accepting
the
change,
and
I am
happy
to
see
the
procedure
went
well.
今年我們首次舉辦了英語演講比賽的準決賽。做成這項新措施的理由是：
1. 根據比賽規則，我們可以選擇舉辦準決賽。
2. 一次聆聽十個演講對裁判而言是很大的負擔。
3. 比賽所需的冗長時間（至少100分鐘），讓整個大會議程的安排變得很困難。
感謝大家接受這項改變，我也很欣慰整個流程能夠順利進行。
Once
again,
our
Conference
ambassadors
did
an
excellent
job.
We
are
happy
to
have
members
from
Cheng
Kung
Toastmasters
Club
serving
as
ambassadors
this
time.
They
are
outstanding
students
of
National
Cheng
Kung
University.
Considering
the
fact
that
they
would
be
standing
a
lot
and
that
they
would
be
running
all
over
the
conference
sites,
we
decided
to
have
them
dress
in
Toastmasters
T-shirt
with
jeans
and
sneakers,
which
is
totally
different
from
the
past.
I
know
this
deprived
their
opportunity
to
dress
in
cheongsam,
suits
and
heels
and
they
were
somewhat
disappointed.
But,
they
looked
so
youthful,
energetic
and
sunny,
didn’t
they?!
They
were
well-trained,
courteous,
and
professional.
Let
me
share
a
story
of
our
ambassadors
with
you.
During
the
award
presentation
in
the
Closing
Ceremony,
District
Secretary
tried
to
help
with
the
trophies.
They
said:
“Thank
you,
but
we
have
gloves
on
our
hands
and
this
would
protect
the
trophy.”
How
thoughtful
they
were!
They
sure
contributed
greatly
to
the
success
of
the
2012
Spring
Conference.
I
was
very
happy
to
see
them
danced
on
the
stage
in
the
dinner
party.
I
truly
want
them
to
have
fun
and
enjoy
the
conference,
too!

大會公關大使們又一次漂亮地完成任務。很高興成功分會的會員們擔任這次的公關大使，他們每一位都是國立成功大學的高材生。考慮到他們得長時間站立，也須要在大會各場地來回走動，我們決定請他們穿著國際演講會的運動衫搭配牛仔褲與運動鞋，這樣的服裝和往年大不相同。我知道這個決定剝奪了他們穿上旗袍、套裝以及高跟鞋的機會，我也知道他們或多或少感到失望。但是，這樣穿著的他們看起來是那麼年輕、充滿活力、又陽光，不是嗎？！他們訓練精良、有禮貌、又專業。讓我跟大家分享一個他們的故事。在閉幕式的頒獎典禮過程中，總會秘書長想要幫忙傳遞獎杯，大使們說：「謝謝妳，我們來就好了。我們都有戴手套，可以保護獎杯，也不會讓獎杯沾上手漬。」真是設想得好周到啊！2012春季大會的成功，他們實在功不可沒。看到他們在晚宴中到舞台上跳舞，我好高興，因為我誠心地希望他們也能盡情地享受春季大會。可愛的大使們，謝謝您們！
