It's never too late to learn

Time fly,I have joined Spark TMC for 16 years .I still remembered the first time, my colleague Amy Chung invited me to attend the meeting, I felt so nervous to introduce myself, after the meeting, the President Ron Chen who called me and encourage me to attend next time. I went and decided to be the member at the second time participation. Cause I found Spark has many members with warm and enthusiasm. This is a place I can practice my poor English and learn the communication skill.

During 16 years, I met so many outstanding leaders such as Freda Chiang, Ron Chen, LJ Lame, Helen Chen,Alex Wang, Bryian Hung--etc.

not only these leaders but also many excellent members,such as Claire Chuang,Wayne Ni,--etc.We like a big family, learning and sharing, taking challenge and making creativities. I have been the officers as VPM , VPE, President ,Coach of Yang Ming TMC and Area Governor.

In Toastmasters clubs, I learned communication and leadership skills. Especially, I earned many good friendship with the members from other clubs, Such as Shang Su, Sharon Chang, William Chiu, Ken Hsu, MJ Yeh, --etc. These outstanding members they help me and support me to complete my goal.

There are two members I must salute to them. The first one is David Chen,He was a tour guide ,organized some classes name "The Art of Beautiful Heart ", led us learn the art of the Europe, China ,Japan and Taiwan,from the ancient time to the modern time, included histories, artists to the products, all the students enjoy learning and sharing, most of them are toastmasters. David took us to Italy, France,Spain after we learned the art of these country. The most important thing was --He charged us free for that, We kept the class even David has passed away 5 years ago.

The second member is Sophie Huang, she was the Spark member and EVP of Sparkle TMC, she was one of the classmates of our "The art of beautiful heart". She invited her husband Tom ( he is an extra-curricular artist) to teach us Chinese painting, it has been 10 years till now, and free of charge. The two members I salute, not only for they are free to me, but the Spirit of Toastmasters - " Integrity, Service,Respect,Dedicated to excellent".

Beside the warm friendship and communication skills, What I learn from the journey? The leadership is most special thing that we can not learn from any other English cram school. From the series Leadership training track ,we can learn how to hold a contest , to design an outdoor activities,or to complete a High performance leadership program（HPL). Thanks to Angel Li, Webster and Caroline Kiang. They taught me to design and complete my HPL program --organize a " Toastmaster magazine discussing group". And we learn and apply in our daily life.

16 years ago, DTM for me, just like a fantasy story. "Where there is a will, there is a way." It's my term, even I spent 16 years to reach my goal.

Thanks all the members who encourage and support me to complete my goal, and I will keep on my journey in Toastmasters Club. It's never too late to learn.
