Mayumi exudes the best qualities of the Toastmasters spirit in everything she does. She is a great supporter of many Toastmasters clubs and successfully led Division G in 2017-2018 as the Division Director to achieve Select Distinguished Division with 10 out of 12 clubs achieving Select or President's Distinguished Club.

I got to know Mayumi more when we worked together in leading the 2017 Fall conference in Taipei. Needless to say, I greatly admire this amazing lady, but what I found to be truly special is how her smile warms the hearts of those around her and gives us strength. That is a superpower.

Achieving DTM by Mayumi I. Hu, DTM

Eight wonderful years filled with great opportunities to learn and grow together with the Toastmasters community is reflecting in this precious plaque that just arrived through the mail, directly from Toastmasters International office.

As I look at it, I can recall all the Toastmasters that helped me along the way. I remember with joy and pleasure all the speeches, presentations and the leadership roles as club officer, Area G4 Director and Division G Director as well as the many activities we handled together. From officer training sessions to speech contests, from regular meetings at my club (SKAL Taipei Toastmasters) to attending as a guest at other clubs, from sponsoring a new club to working on the HPL project until completion, each moment was a steppingstone toward achieving DTM. Each moment is remembered with fondness. I will never forget these exciting experiences. Each and every moment along the way built my knowledge, strengthened my confidence, and helped me achieve Distinguished Toastmaster.

I am so grateful for all the insightful evaluations, guidance and encouragements I received from my Toastmasters friends. Now, I look forward to a new journey to use my knowledge to help those who have the desire to achieve more in life through Toastmasters. I also look forward to meeting all of the Toastmasters who I hope to mentor and support along their own journey to DTM or whatever their goals may be in Leadership or Communication.
