When I started my Toastmasters journey, I did not set a goal to become a DTM, mainly because that I wasn't intended to go that far. My plan was to have a quick run. I would join the club, learn what I need to learn, and quit once I got it.

So I joined two clubs at the same time. I attended meetings faithfully, I prepared and delivered speeches vigorously. I became a regular in all levels of contests. Soon the benefits started to show. The fear of stage fright went away, and the sense of confidence took hold. Public speaking is no longer a daunting thing that scares me. Mission accomplished, it was time to say goodbye.

But I did not quit. After receiving so many helps from my fellow members along the way, I felt that it was too selfish to just quit. I decided to stay and return the favors. So I became the president of New Century Bilingual Toastmaster Club, then area I2 director. I learned even

more while serving my fellow members. Seven years passed, I received my DTM in September, 2017. What an incredible journey, I enjoyed every step of the way. What a wonderful group of people, thanks to all of you.
