2008 Richard Wu, Jim Chiu, Maggie Chang and I taught in Asia University.
I had a close cooperation with Richard teaching Oral Communication
Program. We joined carpool to A.U. for one semester. In the car; we
chatted about politics and stock chart, and we gossiped about
celebrities excitedly.。Maggie asked, “Richard, you are a Christian, Is
that OK to talk about gossip?” He answered, “Life without gossip is
boring.” We laughed out aloud. We talked the gossips happily. This was
another side of Richard Wu. 吳東衡的另一面: 2008 吳東衡，邱垂珍，張愛明 及 賴秀春 有過密切的合作; 我們四位在亞洲大學--創意領導中心教授學生口語傳達課程 (Oral Communication) 每次上課我們都共乘一部車去學校，在車内談論政治，股市行情，興奮的談論名人八卦。 有一次張愛明問道: 吳東衡你是基督徒談論八卦好嗎?＂ 吳東衡答覆: 不談八卦人生多無聊ㄚ!＂ 大家都笑成一團，這是吳東衡嚴肅之外的另一面。 Life lies not in the length of days, but in the use of we make of them. Richard did lots of good deeds. He gave his love and money to Liu‐Qui orphanage, Hui‐Ming school. He was the volunteer teacher in Taichung prison. He never told us he did so much until he passed away. 生命的價值不在於能活多少天，而在於我們如何過得更有意義。吳東衡這一生不斷的為大眾服務，捐錢，捐知識助人，如六龜孤兒院、惠明視障者教養院、台中監獄。他從不炫耀， Richard was an unsung hero, I entertained an angel unawares. 他是一位偉大的無名英雄，我真是有眼不識泰山。 ~~ Michelle Lai |
