Linda Tseng, Fluency

Sometimes the moon the stars refuse to shine in the dark lonely sky, but the light that we've seen will always give us warmth and sweetness.

Richard Wu, VIP of Fluency's 1st meeting
When Fluency was chartered in 2004, we knew nothing about Toastermasters. Mingwei helped with every agenda and invited many senior members to demo skills of different roles; Richard attended Fluency's first meeting and had been our frequent demonstrator ever since. Being a devoted
toastmaster, he kindly offered us valuable experiences and warm helping hands.

Richard Wu, my C1 evaluator.
Once my evaluator, always my evaluator! I look up to him because he guided me on the first track and the following tracks as well. He was honored as our VIP guest at every Fluency anniversary party. Being a teacher and friend of Fluency, he brilliantly inspired us and gave us the biggest support.

Richard Wu, always a gentle smile
Whenever I saw him, he always had a gentle smile on his face. He devoted his efforts to Toastmasters with great enthusiasm and a sincere smile. He had been a capable Division governor, yet he was always so humble. I heard that he once gave a speech titled “Rather Burn than Rust Out”, he was a decent gentleman and he burned his life to shine, with a gentle smile.

When we look into the lonely dark sky, sometimes the moon the stars refuse to shine, but we know they are up there somewhere. The light that we've seen will give us warmth and strength, just like the light that Richard had shared.

Thank you, Richard, for the light that will always shine.
